One Day Parenting Conference with Jana Magruder
Discipleship is our Focus. This One Day Parenting Conference is designed to equip all parents in their journey to disciple their children to have a lasting faith. Jana Magruder, our keynote speaker, has a unique passion for championing the local church to help families disciple kids and teens. We invite you to join us for the morning and evening sessions as we grow to become and help others become faithful followers of Jesus Christ.
Morning session: 9:45 a.m. - 10:45 a.m., Chapel
Afternoon breakouts: 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Various
Registration is required for childcare. Requests for childcare made after Tuesday, February 11th cannot be guaranteed. Registration for those who do not need childcare is encouraged, but not required. Click here to register.

Lasting Faith: Unpacking childhood indicators that point to a spiritually mature adulthood
Research shows that there are specific actions that we can implement now that will most effectively point to lasting faith in kids as they grow older.

Evening Details
Evening breakout sessions will be led by a variety of teachers. Conference attendees will select a 4:00 p.m. option and a 5:00 p.m. option of their choosing.

4:00 p.m. Breakout Sessions
Flip the Script: Disrupting Tradition for the Sake of the Next Generation - led by Jana Magruder
When it comes to connecting the gospel to our current culture of kids and students, we may be reading from an old script. Research verifies that Gen Alpha and Gen Z need to find biblical belonging and identity in Christ. The Church and the home both play a part.

A Pathway for Wise, Healthy Technology and Social Media Use - led by Cameron Cole
Our Good Shepherd protects us with both a rod and staff. As parents, we want to do the same for our kids in the realm of technology and social media, while also preparing them to honor Christ with tech use in adulthood. This breakout session will provide parents with a pathway for safe, wise technology adoption and principles for discipling children in the tech space.
5:00 p.m. Breakout Sessions
Discipleship at Every Age and Every Stage - led by Jana Magruder
As kids and students grow, their understanding of foundational truths grows with them. Learn how to teach kids the ten concepts that are the foundation of spiritual growth: God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, Bible, Salvation, Creation, Church, People, Family, Community, and World.

Why the Gospel is Your Child’s Greatest Need - led by Cameron Cole
This breakout session will walk parents through Genesis 3 so that we can understand that sin at the heart level is our child’s biggest problem. We will learn how the gospel is the center of spiritual formation for a child to know and love Jesus.

Conference Leader Bios
Jana Magruder, our keynote speaker, serves as Strategic Initiatives Director of the Lifeway NextGen team in Nashville. With a background in education, publishing and ministry, she loves championing the local church to help families disciple kids and teens. Jana, and her husband Michael, are native Texans planted in Tennessee and love to explore both states with their three kids.
Cameron Cole is the founding chairman of Rooted Ministries, which promotes gospel-centered youth and family ministry. He is the founder of MB Plugged In, a technology task force in Mountain Brook. He is the author of Heavenward: How Eternity Can Change Your Life on Earth and Therefore I Have Hope: 12 Truths that Comfort, Sustain, and Redeem in Tragedy.
