Becoming A Christian
Trust that God loves you and wants a relationship with you. (John 10:10; 2 Peter 3:9)
Even though you may be a good person, you have done things your way instead of God’s way. The Bible calls this “sin.” Sin puts a barrier between you and God, who is perfect and good all the time. (1 John 1:5; 1 John 1:8)
God made a way for your relationship with Him to be restored. He sent Jesus, His Son, to pay the price (penalty) for your sins. (John 3:16; 1 John 4:10)
Admit you have done things your way instead of God’s way. Trust that Jesus died on the cross for you and accept His sacrifice. Commit to live life God’s way instead of your way. (John 14:6; 1 John 1:9)
God promises that everyone who accepts/receives Jesus as Savior and Lord will be saved. (John 1:12; Romans 10:9)
Tell someone about your decision. Join the fellowship of a local church. Tell the world, in picture form, what Jesus did for you by baptized by immersion. (Mark 1:9; Matthew 28:19)
