Brent Reeves serves as the staff accompanist and arranger for the Dawson Family of Faith. Playing both piano and organ and arranging and composing music for use in worship are his passions. His desire to assist congregations in worship began at age 12 with his first church-pianist position. A native of Albertville, Alabama, Brent received the Bachelor of Music degree (summa cum laude) from Samford University, the Master of Music degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance from The University of Alabama, where he also studied organ.

Brent is an adjunct faculty member for the School of the Arts at Samford Univer- sity where he also serves as an accompanist for undergraduate and graduate vocal- ists and instrumentalists. Additionally, he maintains a private piano studio. He has membership in several professional organizations and has served many of them in various offices from librarian to president.

He and his wife, Lorna, enjoy spending time with their children, Emma (husband, Thomas) and Phillip. When traveling, they are always on the lookout for the best locally owned restaurants.
