David joined the Dawson staff in 2024. He is an Alabama native and a proud graduate of Auburn University in civil engineering. While at Auburn he met his wife, Alicia. They married while he was pursuing an M.Div through an extension of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary at Lakeview Baptist. After finishing his M.Div they moved to Southeast Asia to serve with the International Mission Board for 12 years. They have four children: Nathan, Kate, Lucy, and Thomas. In his spare time, you’ll find David obsessing over the best cup of coffee, watching Braves baseball and Auburn football, and learning one new hobby after another.
