Sermon Title: A New Year’s Focus

Pastor David began the new year of worship with a message including practical ways to focus our faith in the year ahead.

Cast aside the weight of this past year.
Cast aside the sin of this past year.
Fix your focus on Jesus, the founder of our faith.
- We fix our eyes on Jesus through devotion to His Word.
- We fix our eyes on Jesus through devotion to prayer.
- We fix our eyes on Jesus through devotion to His bride.

1. What habits or pursuits are weights in your life? What sins are clinging to you and distracting you from focusing on the Lord? Ask God to show you those things.

2. How will you create accountability for casting those things aside in the coming year? Explain.

3. Pastor David said that we need plans and patterns to help us focus our eyes on Jesus. What is your plan for Bible reading in 2021? What is your pattern of prayer for 2021?
