The Power Of Love
This week, Pastor David continued the series from 1 John with a look at God's love.
- What Is The Nature Of God? God Is Love (vv. 7–8)
- How Does God Display The Depth Of His Love? Through His Son (vv. 9–10)
- How Do We Display The Love Of God? Through Our Love (v. 12)
GOING DEEPER:
- When have you found yourself confused about who God is? Explain.
- In 1 John 7:7–8, John wrote that the very essence of God is love. What does it mean that God's nature is love and that love is not just an attribute or action of Him?
- Pastor David said that we know someone loves us because there is evidence of that love. What evidence do you have of God's love for you?
- While we don't experience God face-to-face, we experience and share His love through our love for others. How are you encouraged by experiencing others' love for you? How are you strengthened by loving others in Jesus’ name?
