The God Who Crowns

Psalm 8

This week, Pastor David shared a message from Psalm 8, reflecting on the majesty of God. We saw:

  • The Majestic One Who Is Above All
  • The Majestic One Who Desires To Be Known By All
  • The Majestic One Who Created All
  • The Majestic One Who Cares For All

GOING DEEPER:

  • Psalm 8 expresses David's understanding of God's majesty and power. It answers the question, "Who Is God?" Which verses in this Psalm resonate with you? Why?
  • Pastor David shared that Psalm 8:5–7 mirrors, somewhat, the story of creation in Genesis 1 and 2. What parallels do you see between these passages?
  • Although He is majestic, flawless, and faultless in character, God desires to be known by everyone. When have you struggled to believe that the God of the universe could care about you and the things that matter to you? How does knowing that affect how you face the opportunities and challenges ahead of you this week?
  • The heart of this Psalm is that our majestic God cares for us. Every person is an image-bearer of God and infinitely precious to Him. How does this Psalm encourage you, even when you don't "feel" like God is with you?

The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24–26
