The God Who Reigns
Psalm 24
This week, Pastor David shared a message from Psalm 24, reflecting on the God who is sovereign over all. We dug deeper in:

GOING DEEPER:
Pastor David shared this quote by A.W. Tozer: “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.” What comes to your mind when you think of God? What determines your view of God?
God has supreme authority in our lives because He created everyone and everything, and everyone and everything is dependent on Him. No one is exempt from the sovereign rule of God. In what ways do you see this truth challenged in our culture? How are you tempted to dethrone God in your life and replace Him?
The only way we can approach our God, whose purity is unmatched and whose holiness is beyond comparison, is through Jesus. He is the only One who perfectly qualifies to stand before the presence of our holy God. The only thing that matters before God is that you are “in Christ.” How is your life proclaiming, “I am with Him (Jesus), and in what ways are you depending on your own righteousness?
Pastor David commented that your life will never rise any higher than your thoughts about God. Only a proper and high view of God will lead to holy living, and to compassion and caring for others. Is the posture of your heart standing in honor of God and bowing your head in obedience to Him? If not, how can you change your schedule in the coming week to make more time for reflection, prayer, and steps to change?
