This week, Pastor David continued the series from Acts with a look at scenes that changed the shape of the Christian church.

GOING DEEPER:

One of the first threats in the early church was hoarding the Gospel they had been commissioned to share. When are you tempted to hoard the Gospel?

Peter told Cornelius and the people gathered in his home that, though he would not normally fellowship in a Gentile’s home, he had learned that God’s love shows no partiality. When is it difficult for you to love others as God does?

Pastor David shared that Peter’s story in Acts 10 brings us to one truth: the love of God always extends to the outsider and outcast. Who are your Gentiles—those with whom you are not willing to share the Gospel?

The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24–26
