Sermon Title: The Hidden Hand of Providence
Scripture: Ruth 2
Today, Pastor David continued the sermon series from the book of Ruth and shared about the providence of God.
Going Deeper:
1. Do you believe that your life is a series of coincidental events or that those decisions and events are used by God for a bigger purpose? Explain.
2. Pastor David said that Boaz is an example worth imitating. What are things you see in Boaz that you could imitate in your workplace, neighborhood, and community?
3. God’s providence allows each of us to play a role through our prayer, initiative, diligence, perseverance, and integrity. Which of these things do you need to focus on and recommit to as you go through this week?

Dare To Serve - Cheryl Bachelder, former CEO of Popeyes
I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. ~ John 17:20–21
“Often, I have not known where I was going until I was already there. I have had my share of desires and goals, but my life has come to me or I have gone to it mainly by way of mistakes and surprises. Often, I have received better than I deserved. Often my faintest hopes have rested on bad mistakes. I am an ignorant pilgrim, crossing a dark valley. And yet for a long time, looking back, I have been unable to shake off the feeling that I have been led – make of that what you will.” ~ Jayber Crow by Wendell Berry
Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen. ~ Jude 24–25
