June 9 Family Faith Talk: What mean things did Joseph’s brothers do to him? (Threw Joseph in a hole. Sold Joseph to traders.) Joseph’s brothers were MEAN to Joseph! But God was with Joseph. God is with us wherever we go, too. Where do you go with your family? God is with you wherever you go!
June 16 Family Faith Talk: Joseph helped a man who had worked for the king. What did Joseph ask the man to do to help him? (Tell the king about him.) Even though bad things happened to him, Joseph kept doing what was right. When are some times it might be hard to do right? (When someone is being mean. When we feel tired or angry.) What can we do to get help? (Talk to God. Ask for God’s help. Ask a teacher or parent to help us.)
June 23 Family Faith Talk: What did Joseph help the people in Egypt save? (Food.) Joseph helped the people in Egypt save food so that they could share it with others when they were hungry. God helps us to share with others, too. When is a time it might be hard to share? God will help you to share.
June 30 Family Faith Talk: How did Joseph help his brothers? (He sold them grain to make food. He asked them to live in Egypt.) Joseph’s brothers had been mean to him when he was younger. But Joseph showed God’s love to his brothers anyway. What is a way you can show God’s love to some in your family today?
