My family moved to Birmingham and joined Dawson when I was eight years old. Dawson was pivotal in helping me build the foundation of my faith. I formed relationships at Dawson as a child and teenager that I still value today. I have benefited from so many areas of our church. To name a few, I have traveled to different locations with the Chapel Choir, played countless hours of basketball in the FRC, and spent many Sunday mornings and evenings inside the walls of our church being poured into by countless individuals. As life unfolded and I married Shelby,
we began to look for a church together.

We were raised in different faith traditions and visited several local churches as we navigated our family backgrounds, but ultimately, God led us to Dawson. Looking back, I see the faithfulness of those who came before me. I see the foundation those members laid to make Dawson so pivotal in my life, and I know I must do my part to continue that legacy. As I look to the future with the desire for Ellie and Margaret and their peers to have those same experiences, I know it will require sacrificial giving on our part so that God can continue His work through our church for many generations to come.
