Together at Dawson

Spring is here! Remember to set your clocks forward one hour on Saturday night, March 12, before you go to sleep.

Our Guys’ Retreat is at Camp Dawson. Our theme this weekend is LEGACY, rooted in Paul’s second letter to Timothy.  This event is open to all 6th-12th grade guys and their dads. We will begin Friday evening at 5:00 p.m. at Camp Dawson and camp overnight in tents. On Saturday, we will have sessions, worship, and enjoy all things Camp Dawson. Saturday afternoon, we will leave to play paintball (low-impact) together at Central Alabama Paintball Park before returning to Dawson by 5:00 p.m. The cost is $30 (plus $30 add-on for paintball) and includes all meals and two hours of paintball. For GIRLS' Retreat 2022, we are headed to Camp Cosby in Alpine, AL. Students in grades 6-12 will return to Dawson by 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Our theme this weekend is RESTORED based on 2 Corinthians 5:17. Throughout the weekend we'll roast s'mores, make crafts, enjoy outdoor camp activities (canoeing, archery, high ropes course, and an alpine slide), and more. Spots are limited! The cost is $120 and includes transportation, four meals, a fun girl gift, lakefront and camp activities, and an overnight stay. Grandparenting can be one of the most joy-filled experiences. Have you ever thought of your role as investing spiritually in your grandchildren and influencing them for Christ? Come join us in this study to find out more. The study will be on Wednesdays from March 16–April 17 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. (no class on March 30 or April 13) in Room 254 North. Preschoolers and their families are invited to a night of fun, worship, and fellowship with friends. We’ll begin in the Fellowship Hall with breakfast for dinner, move to the Chapel for a concert with Yancy, and finish in the North Parking Lot with inflatables and a train. Family tickets for Dawson members are available for purchase in the Church Office, DPM welcome desk, or online here. Each $10 ticket also admits a non-Dawson family as your guest.
