COMPLIMENTARY 4-WEEK ADVENT DEVOTIONAL

Over the 4 weeks of Advent, this devotional guide will explore what Scripture tells us about the Promised One. The daily reflections delve into key passages that help us understand more about who Jesus is. And each weekly theme centers around a core aspect of Jesus’ identity drawn from Isaiah’s prophecies. Each daily reading concludes with Scripture passages for reflection and discussion questions to aid individual or group study. The guide at the back of the devotional offers additional ideas and activities for families and groups throughout Advent. This resource is published by Christianity Today is available at the Next Steps desk.

Limited quantities available.

CANDLELIGHT AT DAWSON

For more than 40 years, people have come to Dawson to experience the joy that God gave us with the birth of His son, Jesus, through Candlelight at Dawson. Culminating with the candlelit singing of Silent Night, these evenings of worship are anticipated each year by our community, making it a perfect time to invite a teacher, neighbor, or friend. This year there will be three worship opportunities:

Friday, December 16 at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, December 17 at 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, December 18 at 5:00 p.m.

Doors open 45 minutes prior to the service.

DNOW VOLUNTEERS NEEDED January 13–15, 2023

Last year, Dawson’s Student Ministry hosted over 270 students in grades 6–12 during Disciple Now weekend, and we are preparing for an amazing DNOW 2023. We cannot do this without the help of many volunteers. You can help by signing up to be a host home or small group leader for the weekend. Please visit dawsonchurch.org/DNow to fill out a form to apply as a small group leader or as a host home.

We need at least 56 small group leaders and 26 host homes. Please help us make this a meaningful weekend for students by volunteering with us. Learn more on the website, or contact Karmin Lytle for more information.
