What's Happening

CANDLELIGHT AT DAWSON

December 16–18

For more than 40 years, people have come to Dawson to experience the joy that God gave us with the birth of His son, Jesus, through Candlelight at Dawson. Culminating with the candlelit singing of Silent Night, these evenings of worship are anticipated each year by our community, making it a perfect time to invite a teacher, neighbor, or friend. This year there will be three worship opportunities:

Friday, December 16 at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, December 17 at 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, December 18 at 5:00 p.m.

Doors open 45 minutes prior to the service.

December Memory Verse

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38–39

DANIELLE BELL ACCEPTS CALL TO TENNESSEE

Danielle Bell, Dawson’s Minister to Children, has accepted a call to return to Belle Aire Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, TN. Danielle has served faithfully at Dawson for over ten years and has led our children’s ministry with energy, excitement, and purpose. Alongside great leaders and investors, Danielle’s desire has always been for children and families to become confident in Christ. No doubt, her innovative and imaginative ways of sharing the Gospel have made an impact on kids and adults alike. While Danielle is excited about this new opportunity, she has shared how much she loves Dawson and the deep relationships she has here.

Families and friends of Danielle are invited to a time of celebration today, December 18, on the 2nd Floor Arendall Building from 9:40 to 10:00 a.m. and from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m., before and after the 9:45 a.m. Life Group hour. This time of celebration will provide an opportunity for our church family to express their prayers and best wishes to Danielle and her daughter, Emmi. Please be praying for them as they make this transition in the coming weeks. Danielle and Emmi will be dearly missed.
