If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

What's Happening
MIDWEEK BIBLE STUDY
Wednesdays, 11:00 a.m. & 6:00 p.m., Social Hall
Many Christians live as though what we see with our physical eyes is all that there is in this world. However, the Bible teaches that there is another realm of supernatural and intelligent life that plays an important role in our world—angelic beings. This study, led by Pastor David, will explore the doctrine of angels, Satan, and demons, answering key questions about their nature and the implications for Christians’ beliefs and behavior. A biblical understanding of the unseen reality of angels and demons encourages believers to be vigilant in the light of spiritual warfare and to be confident in Christ’s victory on the cross.

Together in Giving & Serving
By recommendation of the Personnel Team, Dawson is excited to announce that Jonathan Propes has been called to serve as our new Discipleship Pastor, effective February 19, 2023. Jonathan is married to Elaine. They have a daughter, Mary Beth, who is a junior at Union University, and a son, Ben, who is a senior at the McCallie School in Chattanooga. Jonathan has a Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and has extensive experience leading and growing discipleship ministries in the local church. As a LifeWay Church Partner for six years, he consulted and worked with local churches to strengthen their discipleship ministries for all ages. We are excited to have Jonathan join our staff, and we look forward to seeing God use him to lead our Discipleship Team and Adult Life Groups. Please join us in praying for Jonathan, Elaine, Mary Beth, and Ben as they make this transition to Dawson.

Together in Ministries
The in-between years (18–29) are typically marked by transition, connection, and growth. Our weekly worship service for college students and young adults, AUXANO, exists to help you walk through the transition and to facilitate connection and growth. This service meets on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel on Dawson’s campus. We gather together every week to worship God through song, prayer, and the Word. Kickoff for the Spring semester is January 17, 2023. Please join us for this special time of worship, Bible teaching, and prayer.
