What's Happening

WILL YOU SERVE WITH US AT KIDLIFE?

Monday–Thursday, June 5–8, 9:00 a.m.–Noon

KidLife, Dawson’s version of VBS, will be held on campus June 5-8. Our theme this year is “God At Work,” and we will need hundreds of volunteers to join our construction crew to teach preschoolers and children that God made them to GROW in God’s Word, SHOW their love for God, CARE for others, and SHARE the good news about Jesus. First-time to volunteer? New volunteers are placed with veteran KidLife teachers. Classes rotate through various activities throughout the morning, and all training, curriculum, and supplies will be provided for you. Adults and students can learn more about KidLife and sign up to serve at dawsonchurch.org/kidlife.

DAWSON CONGRATULATES JOSHUA DEL RISCO!

Joshua del Risco, Pastor of Vida Nueva Church in Fultondale, has recently completed his Doctor of Ministry degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Joshua worked hard to earn his doctorate, and he did it while planting Vida Nueva and mentoring with the Hispanic Church Planters Residency program. Joshua has an amazing work ethic that is easy to see in the way that he pastors and leads. We celebrate this monumental achievement with Joshua, his wife Esther, and the rest of his family. Please continue to pray for them as they lead Vida Nueva.

COLLEGE SPRING RETREAT March 24–25, Camp Dawson

College students are invited to join us March 24–25 at Camp Dawson for a spring retreat. When we say "retreat," we mean it! We're working hard to balance both purpose and play, creating an opportunity for deep fellowship and true rest. We're excited to welcome John Woods, Dawson's Music and Worship Pastor, as our worship leader and Kyle Young, Dawson's Hispanic Ministry Associate, to lead our gatherings. The theme for this weekend is ALL NATIONS, ALL PEOPLES. We will talk about God's heart for the nations and how to share the gospel of Jesus in various contexts. The total cost is $30, which includes a T-shirt, 4 meals, overnight lodging, 3 gatherings, and more. Click HERE to register.
