What's Happening

KIDLIFE REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

Monday–Thursday, June 5–8, 9:00 a.m.–Noon
KidLife, Dawson’s version of VBS, will be held on campus June 5–8. Our theme this year is “God At Work,” Registration is now open, please register today! We will also need hundreds of volunteers to join our construction crew to teach preschoolers and children that God made them to GROW in God’s Word, SHOW their love for God, CARE for others, and SHARE the good news about Jesus. First-time to volunteer? New volunteers are placed with veteran KidLife teachers. Classes rotate through various activities throughout the morning, and all training, curriculum, and supplies will be provided for you. Adults and children can learn more about KidLife and sign up to serve HERE.

TABLE HOSTESSES NEEDED FOR 2023–2024

If you have the gift of hospitality and would be interested in learning more about hosting a women’s TABLE group once a month in your home, please let us know. TABLE groups begin in the Fall and meet through Spring each year. Women experience meaningful fellowship, using gospel-centered conversation cards, over a meal, cup of coffee, or tea time.

COLLEGE LIFE GROUP Sunday, May 7, 9:45 a.m., Choir Room

College Life Group will move to the 9:45 a.m. hour for the months of May, June, and July. Beginning May 7, 2023, students have the option to attend the 8:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. service in the Sanctuary. College Life Group meets in the Choir Room (3rd floor, North) and will return to the 11:00 a.m. hour on August 6, 2023.

Parents of rising 6th graders: We would like to meet with you and your student as we unpack Dawson Student Ministry.

When? Sunday, May 7, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
Where? The LOFT (3rd FL Arendall)
What? Learn about our student ministry.

At the meeting you will hear the purpose behind what we do, receive an overview of what happens in student ministry, hear from a panel of DSM parents and volunteers, have an opportunity to ask questions, and tour the DSM space. Registration is not needed.

GRIEFSHARE ORIENTATION Sunday, May 7, 3:00–4:30 p.m., 253 North

The GriefShare program is for anyone who has lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend. This can be a confusing time of isolation and hurt, and you may have questions about things you’ve never faced before. An orientation session will be held on Sunday afternoon, May 7 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in Room 253 North. Feel free to invite others in your family to attend. MAY MYSTERY LUNCH Thursday, May 25, 9:30 a.m., North Parking Lot

Join your Dawson friends on Thursday, May 25, for a comfortable bus ride enjoying beautiful scenery along the way to an unknown location for a Dutch-treat lunch. Please make your reservation by calling the church at (205) 871-7324. The deadline for reservations is Monday, May 22. The bus will leave Dawson's North Parking Lot at 9:30 a.m. returning around 2:30 p.m. Meals are typpically $15–$20.
