Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful.

Together in Giving & Serving
Since the last update to the church in February, the Ad Hoc Team has been working diligently to find and evaluate solutions to best steward our church's resources for this project. The Team has considered all possible options, including pausing the project; however, they believe we have a great design that meets many needs for the church. Thus, they have focused on possible design modifications and value engineering. Additionally, the Ad Hoc Team decided to pursue a different general contractor. We are now working with Hoar Construction to price the project for just Phase 1, which is the Sanctuary and East Commons area. The Team will present the plans and cost for Phase 1 to the church in fall 2023. The anticipated capital campaign will begin January 2024 and culminate in March 2024. The goal is to begin construction in April 2024.

KidLife, Dawson’s version of VBS, will be held on campus June 5–8. Our theme this year is “God At Work,” Registration is now open, so please register today! We will also need hundreds of volunteers to join our construction crew to teach preschoolers and children that God made them to GROW in God’s Word, SHOW their love for God, CARE for others, and SHARE the good news about Jesus. Classes rotate through various activities throughout the morning, and all training, curriculum, and supplies will be provided for you. Adults and students can learn more and sign up to serve HERE.

Together in Bible Study
Please join us for the Summer Adult Bible Study in June (14, 21, 28) and July (12,19, 26) at 11:00 a.m. in the Social Hall as Tommy Sanders leads Who We Are in Christ, a study of Ephesians. The letter to the Ephesians is filled with theological wisdom and practical insights of how to live as a Christian. This study will help us learn how to define our identity through our relationship with Jesus. This identification with Christ leads us to be unified with others, live lives of holiness, and persevere in our faith despite obstacles in this life. An optional lunch will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
