For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.

Together in Missions
Every year, Dawson members and Life Groups provide Christmas gifts for over one hundred children. This year is no exception; however, the ministry details have changed to be able to provide for more children. Here are the details:
- This year, children from our Kids Connection ministry will be the recipients of your newly purchased gifts.
- There will be 13 different size and age-group lists for
- you to consider.
- These shopping lists will be located in the Sanctuary Foyer beginning Sunday, October 1.
-
Simply follow the instructions on your list and return the new gifts to the Gathering Room (1st Floor North) anytime from October 1–November 30.
Please note that multiple children may receive the items you purchase instead of a single individual. For more information, contact Ben Hale at bhale@dawsonchurch.org.
Together in Bible Study
Dawson Women of all ages are invited to return to Aldridge Gardens to experience the refreshment of the forty-sixth Psalm on Tuesday mornings at 8:15 in October. We will meet at Aldridge Gardens and Kristen Torres will facilitate a time of meditating on, praying through, and reflecting on this comforting Scripture passage, both as a group and individually. As we experience God’s creation, our prayer is that He will “lead us beside still waters” and “restore our souls.” To learn more and to register, please visit dawsonchurch.org/women.

Join us on Wednesdays as we discover biblical truths that undo common misconceptions and sayings we may have accepted as truths. During the semester, Pastor David (and several other Dawson Ministry Staff members) will shed light on what the Bible actually teaches us. Some topics include:
- God Helps Those Who Help Themselves
- God Won’t Put More On You Than You Can Bear
- When God Shuts A Door, He Opens A Window
- Christians Shouldn’t Judge
- Everything Happens For A Reason
- Time Heals All Wounds
Please join us as we discover what the Bible really says about these topics. Led by Dr. David Eldridge.

Preschoolers and their families are invited to experience the “Noah’s Ark” Bible story like never before! Families will meet Noah and his wife before traveling through interactive stations to learn how they can obey God and rely on His promises. We’ll end the night in the North Parking Lot as we enjoy a petting zoo, inflatables, and more! Children are encouraged to wear rain gear and bring a stuffed animal to donate to Kids Connection. This event is free and open to the community. Reservations are not required for this free event. Invite your friends to join you!

Resist. Restore. Resist the urge to do more. Meet with God to be restored. On Rest Weeks, Dawson College Ministry will pause all College events through the week (excluding Life Group). To rest is to create time and space for meditation on what the LORD has taught you and to practice the truth of our limits and dependence on God. God works when we are weary. Our “Rest Weeks” for the fall will be the weeks of September 24, October 29, and November 19.

The Dawson Day School offers Bible-based preschool care and teaching for children 18 months old through Pre-K in a half-day program each week during the school year. We currently have 107 students enrolled, and are seeking additional teachers and substitute teachers for the 2023–2024 school year. For more information or to apply, please contact Kathy Daniel, Dawson’s Day School Director.

We enjoy honoring our Dawson Veterans each November. If you have served in the armed forces and have not been contacted by Dawson in the past, please let us know of your service. We would like to know which branch you served and during which years. Please send that information to Tommy Sanders at tsanders@dawsonchurch.org.
