Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him my salvation and my God.

DMA STUDENTS LEAD IN TODAY'S WORSHIP
Today we’re excited to welcome Dawson Music Academy students and families to worship. More than 100 students and instructors from our Academy join with the Dawson Orchestra to share their talents in worship. Today's prelude was commissioned to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Dawson Music Academy's ministry. We're thankful for the musical talents God has given each student and are excited to celebrate their gifts today.
Please visit dawsonmusicacademy.org to learn more about the Dawson Music Academy, or contact Kimberly Jones, Dawson Music Academy Director.

Together in Giving & Serving
DNOW is right around the corner (January 17–19), and the DSM team is working hard to make it a meaningful and impactful weekend. During this weekend, students stay in host homes around the city, and your help is needed! We are expecting a large number of students to attend this year and want plenty of host homes to make this the best and safest opportunity for meaningful discipleship. Please visit dawsonchurch.org/students to complete an interest form or contact Ashbelle Henry for more information. Responses are needed by November 10, 2024.

Help us make the shop at Kids Connection a well-stocked and welcoming place for parents and caregivers. On Mondays and Wednesdays, volunteers process donations and restock shop inventory. We have a particular need for additional volunteers on Wednesdays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, volunteers also help the parents and caregivers select items for their families' needs. Any amount of time you can give is appreciated. The shop’s hours are 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity to serve if you are free in the mornings.

Thanks to the power of a simple shoebox, millions of children will hear the Gospel this year. Stop by the table in the Foyer to pick up a brochure and a flat shoebox. You can also pick up brochures and boxes at the Church Office on weekdays. All prepared shoeboxes must be turned in at the display table in the Sanctuary Foyer on or before November 17.

Join us to hear a first-hand account of life in Israel. Our special guests have lived there over 35 years, giving them a unique perspective on the Bible. We will also collect an offering to assist such projects as camps for discipling children of the messianic movement. Come early to enjoy delicious brunch food and coffee.

This year you have an opportunity to provide gifts for local children through Kids Connection. Children from our Kids Connection Ministry will be the recipients of your newly purchased gifts. Shopping lists are located in the Sanctuary Foyer. Please return the new gifts to the Gathering Room (1st Floor North) anytime from now until November 22.

Ladies, please stop by one of the welcome desks during December to pick up a gift for advent. Each one of these “mug hugs” were lovingly made by the women from our Handmade Ministry. With each cup of coffee you drink this advent season, may this gift serve as a reminder of the warmth of God’s love and may the accompanying Scripture card remind you of His powerful presence. Available while supplies last.

As part of our 100 year celebration, Dawson's Music & Worship Ministry is hosting a special Chapel Choir Reunion at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2025. Whether you sang with us recently or decades ago, we invite you to join us for a day of fellowship, worship, and music as we celebrate our shared legacy. The afternoon will begin with a time of fellowship and a short rehearsal, followed by a group picture, singing, and worship together. We’ll end the day with a church-wide picnic featuring special musical performances. To help us prepare, we are compiling a database of all Chapel Choir Alumni. Please visit dawsonchurch.org/chapelchoirreunion for more information and stay connected, even if you are unable to attend the event. Be sure to let your friends and family who’ve been part of Chapel Choir know about this exciting reunion!
