A Spiritual Cleansing
This week, Pastor David continued the series from 1 John with a look at God's goodness and forgiveness. We saw that
- God Is Good, So We Can Trust Him.
- We Are Not Perfectly Good, But We Can Be Forgiven By Him.
GOING DEEPER:
- 1 John 1:5 tells us that "God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all." How does the reality that God is inexhaustible light encourage you?
- Unlike “super villians” in the movies, God IS all-powerful, all-knowing, and everywhere at all times. God always has our good in mind for His glory. When are you tempted to doubt God's goodness?
- Pastor David reminded us that we are all sinners and that we are sinful by nature and by choice. We all use the counterfeit bills of sin and hope to get good results. What do our sinful choices indicate about the state of our hearts?
- God never turns us away when we confess. We don’t have to hide from Him. What sin in your life needs to be confessed this week?
