July 7 Family Faith Talk: How did Elijah get food when he was by the stream? (God sent birds to bring him food.) God was good to Elijah and cared for him. God loves and cares for us, too. God cares for us all the time! What did you eat for breakfast this morning? Who made your breakfast for you? God gives us parents to fix us food. This is one way God shows His love and cares for us!
July 14 Family Faith Talk: What did God give so that Elijah, the woman, and her son could eat? (Flour and oil to make bread.) Not knowing where he would get food must have been scary for Elijah. But he knew God was with him, even when he was afraid. God is with us, too, when we are afraid. God is always with us. Where is someplace you go? God is with you at the library! God is with you at the park!
July 21 Family Faith Talk: How did the man and his wife show kindness to Elisha? (They fed Elisha. They built a room for Elisha to sleep in.) God cared for Elisha by giving him friends who cared for him. God cares for us and gives us what we need, too. God gives us people to care for us. What are some of the people who care for you?
July 28 Family Faith Talk: How many times did Naaman have to wash himself in the river? (Seven.) God is so powerful, He was able to make Naaman well. God is powerful and can always help us, too. God helps us because God loves us. What are some ways that God helps us? (Is always with us. Gives us families to care for us. Hears our prayers. Gives us teachers who tell us about Him.)
August 4 Family Faith Talk: How did Esther help God’s people? (She told the king about Haman. She got the law changed so that God’s people would not be hurt.) Esther did the right thing to help God’s people. What is a good thing you can do for your family? You can ask God to help you!
